You are eligible to open a MauBank Current Account if you:

  • Are a resident of Mauritius aged 18 or older
  • Provide valid proof of identity and address
  • Make the minimum initial deposit
  • Have the required supporting documents

To open your account, please provide:

  • National ID card
  • Proof of address (CEB, CWA or MT bill – less than 3 months old)

If the bill is in your parent’s or spouse’s name, please also bring: Birth or marriage certificate, OR lease agreement + NIC of landlord

  • Download the account opening form
  • Access and fill in the form to start your application process.
  • Visit your nearest MauBank Business Centre 
  • Drop by your nearest business centre with the completed form and required documents.
  • Submit the required documents and initial deposit
  • A MauBank advisor will guide you through the final steps to open your account.
  • We’ll handle the rest and get your account activated quickly and securely.
